Renault has updated its Megane and Scenic electric vehicles for 2025, bringing new technology, a revised trim structure and lower starting prices.

The Megane hatchback now starts at £32,495 – a £1,500 reduction from previous pricing. The Scenic SUV’s entry price drops to £37,195.

While the Scenic’s price cut appears modest at just £300, it represents significantly better value as all versions now come standard with the larger 87kWh battery that was previously a £3,500 upgrade from base specification.

All Scenic models now feature a 215bhp motor, replacing the previous entry-level 168bhp unit. Range varies between 369 and 381 miles depending on trim level.

The Megane continues with its existing 60kWh battery and 215bhp motor combination, delivering up to 285 miles of range.

Both models receive technology upgrades including one-pedal driving capability and adjustable regenerative braking settings. Standard AC charging has been upgraded to 11kW across the range.

A vehicle-to-load adapter now comes standard, allowing owners to power 240V appliances from the car’s battery. An over-the-air update later this year will enable plug-and-charge functionality for simpler public charging experiences.

Megane and Scenic Esprit Alpine trims get unique interior styling and materials

Renault has simplified the model structure with three identical trim levels across both vehicles – Techno, Techno Esprit Alpine and Iconic Esprit Alpine.

Techno versions of the Megane include:

  • 18-inch alloy wheels
  • Heated front seats and steering wheel
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • Reversing camera
  • Heat pump
  • 12-inch touchscreen
  • Digital instrument cluster
  • Wireless smartphone mirroring

The £34,495 Techno Esprit Alpine adds 20-inch alloys, sportier styling elements, power-adjustable seats, adaptive cruise control and additional safety systems.

Topping the Megane range is the £36,995 Iconic Esprit Alpine with 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio, 360-degree camera system, digital rear view mirror and hands-free parking capability.

Scenic specifications follow a similar pattern, though entry-level models include adaptive cruise control, 19-inch alloys and enhanced safety features as standard.

The mid-range Scenic Techno Esprit Alpine costs £39,995 and adds 20-inch wheels plus face ID technology that automatically adjusts driver profiles and seating position.

The range-topping Scenic Iconic Esprit Alpine starts at £41,995, matching the equivalent Megane’s equipment while adding the Solarbay panoramic sunroof. Top-spec models also include all exterior paint options at no additional cost.
