Allstar and Be.EV launch fleet charging discount
Fleet operators using Allstar Chargepass can now receive 10% off charging costs at Be.EV stations for three months.
The discount reduces rapid charging rates from 75p/kWh to 67.5p/kWh at Be.EV locations across the UK charging network.
Both companies say the move aims to support businesses transitioning to electric vehicles ahead of the 2030 ban on new petrol and diesel vehicle sales.
“Fleets are under mounting pressure ahead of the 2030 ban of new ICE vehicles, not to mention the economic pressures felt universally,” said Tom Rowlands, managing director of global EV solutions at Corpay, Allstar’s parent company. “That’s why it was important for us to recognise that cost of charging is an increasingly important factor for fleets in choosing their charge points.”
Fleet vehicles make up a significant portion of public charging network usage. As charging networks expand, fleet operators are becoming more selective about charging costs and locations.
Be.EV — currently ranked as the UK’s fourth-largest rapid charging network — sees the partnership as key to reaching more business customers.
“Fleet managers and drivers deserve to have simple charging nationwide. Businesses need their charging to be fast and simple to use,” said Asif Ghafoor, CEO at Be.EV.
The companies aim to encourage other charging networks to offer similar incentives as the UK moves toward wider EV adoption.
Allstar noted that charging point operators should focus on three key areas to support fleet transition:
- Enhanced networks
- Ultra-rapid charging availability
- Cost-effective pricing
The discount program starts immediately for Allstar Chargepass users at all Be.EV locations.
