Alpine’s new A390 performance SUV will start at £61,390 when orders open in early 2026, the company announced. The five-door crossover targets the Porsche Macan with up to 464 horsepower and a 0-62mph time of 3.9 seconds.
Two Powertrain Options Available
The entry-level A390 uses a dual-motor setup producing 395bhp and 488lb ft of torque. That configuration reaches 62mph in 4.8 seconds and comes in GT and Premiere Edition trim levels.
GT pricing starts at £61,390. The Premiere Edition costs £65,390.
The higher-spec A390 GTS bumps power to 464bhp and 606lb ft. It drops the 0-62mph time to 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 136mph – compared to 124mph for the lower trims.
Range and Charging Capabilities
All A390 variants use the same 89kWh battery pack. The GT and Premiere Edition achieve up to 345 miles of range on a single charge.
The more powerful GTS sees range drop to 312 miles due to its increased performance.
Every version supports up to 190kW DC fast charging. That’s enough for a 15-80% charge in 25 minutes, according to Alpine.
Alpine’s developed a bespoke torque vectoring system to manage power and braking across both motors. The company says this setup gives the fastback-styled SUV “exceptional agility, balance and responsiveness.”
Interior and Technology Features
Despite its sporty focus, the A390 provides practical everyday usability. It seats five passengers and offers a 532-liter boot space.
Inside, drivers get a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and 12-inch central display running Google Automotive software.
Standard GT equipment includes 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and Alpine-branded six-piston front brake calipers. Interior features include Alcantara and Nappa leather upholstery, heated electrically adjustable Alpine Sport seats, and a 13-speaker Devialet sound system.
All versions come with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, blind spot monitoring, and a 360-degree camera system.
Special Editions and Upgrade Options
The Premiere Edition is limited to just 390 examples. It adds matt-black 20-inch alloys, blue brake calipers, and a black roof. Interior upgrades include Sabelt bucket seats with massage function and bidirectional charging capability.
At £69,390, the A390 GTS includes its powertrain upgrade plus 21-inch Snowflake design wheels with high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Red brake calipers, Sabelt seats, and telemetric data logging round out the performance package.
The A390 represents Alpine’s first ground-up electric vehicle design. It’s the second model in the brand’s fully electric Dream Garage lineup, joining the Renault 5-based A290.
An all-electric version of Alpine’s A110 sports car will complete the initial EV trio later this year. UK deliveries for the A390 are expected to begin in spring 2026.
