Alpine has announced pricing for its A390 fastback crossover, with order books opening April 1. The entry-level GT model starts at £61,390.

Customers with Alpine’s early-access Première Pass can secure their cars today. General orders open April 16 for what Alpine positions as France’s answer to the Porsche Macan Electric.

Two versions launch initially: the £61,390 GT and the £65,390 Premiere Edition. The Premiere Edition is limited to 390 examples – a nod to the model’s name.

Deliveries begin summer 2026.

The flagship 464bhp A390 GTS arrives later in the year, starting at £69,390. All versions use the same 89kWh battery pack, delivering up to 345 miles of range.

Charging from 15% to 80% takes 25 minutes.

Performance Focus

Every A390 features a tri-motor setup with torque-vectoring technology. Alpine benchmarked the driving experience against its award-winning A110 sports car.

The torque-vectoring system distributes power between wheels to enhance cornering and grip.

Six body colors are available: Blanc Topaze, Noir Profond, Argent Mercure, Bleu Abysse, Bleu Alpine Vision, and Gris Tonnerre Matte. GT and GTS models can specify bespoke Atelier color schemes.

A contrasting black roof costs £1,000 extra on higher trim levels.

“With its blend of expressive design, bespoke electric performance and the dynamic spirit that defines every Alpine, the A390 marks an important step in the brand’s transition to a fully electric future – one that remains firmly centred on driving pleasure.”

That’s according to Alpine UK chief Nicola Burnside.

Electric Transition

The A390 becomes Alpine’s second electric-only model alongside the A290 hot hatch. Together, they form part of what Alpine calls its “Dream Garage” strategy.

An electric version of the A110 sports car launches later this year. Alpine’s APP platform will underpin several upcoming models:

  • A yet-to-be-named coupé
  • A convertible spider model
  • 2+2 configurations

The A390 represents Alpine’s push into the premium electric crossover segment. It’s competing directly with established models like the Porsche Macan Electric and BMW iX3.

Alpine aims to become fully electric while maintaining its focus on driving dynamics and performance heritage.
