Audi has slashed the starting price of its e-tron GT range by nearly £20,000 with a new entry-level model.

The e-tron GT quattro now starts at £88,500 – significantly lower than the previous £107,825 entry point for Audi’s all-electric grand tourer that shares its platform with the Porsche Taycan.

While offering less power than its siblings, the entry-level quattro still delivers 496bhp, with a temporary boost to 576bhp when using launch control.

It completes the 0-62mph sprint in four seconds.

Unlike the base Taycan, Audi’s entry model maintains a two-motor all-wheel-drive setup, preserving the quattro driving experience the brand is known for.

The e-tron GT quattro actually offers the best range in the entire lineup – up to 384 miles from its 97kWh battery. That’s approximately 10 miles more than the more powerful S e-tron GT variant.

Charging capabilities remain impressive with 320kW charging standard across the range. This allows a 10-80% charge in just 18 minutes, with the ability to add 177 miles of range in only 10 minutes at compatible stations.

Audi will offer two versions when orders open – the standard quattro and the quattro Vorsprung.

All models come equipped with adaptive air suspension, 20-inch alloy wheels and a heat pump as standard. Additional features include matrix LED lights, panoramic sunroof and powered tailgate. Inside, heated leather front seats, a 10-speaker sound system, reversing camera and adaptive cruise control are included on every variant.

The £108,055 Vorsprung specification retains the same 496bhp powertrain but adds several premium features – all-wheel steering, adaptive laser lights, and a switchable transparency function for the sunroof. Its sports seats receive Nappa leather upholstery with 18-way adjustment, ventilation and massage functions.

Audio is upgraded to a 710W Bang & Olufsen system with Dolby Atmos. The Vorsprung also includes a head-up display, night vision and advanced driver assistance with remote parking capability.

Orders for the new e-tron GT quattro open June 24, with first customer deliveries expected in August.
