Audi Q4 e-tron Updates: New Looks, Better Range, Smarter Tech image

Audi announced updates to its Q4 e-tron SUV lineup for 2026, introducing new motors, faster charging capabilities and redesigned styling elements.

The mid-size electric SUV receives a body-colored grille and recontoured front bumper as part of its mid-cycle refresh. The updated design includes segmented LED lights that can display four selectable “signatures.”

New OLED tail lights anchor the rear design changes, positioned between a restyled roof spoiler and more prominent diffuser.

“The new lights create a new light pattern multiple times a second, allowing the rear to take on a dynamic look.”

Interior Technology Upgrades

The cabin features a curved dashboard layout with an 11.9-inch instrument cluster and 12.8-inch MMI touchscreen. The system runs on a new Android-based operating system.

Buyers can specify an optional 12-inch passenger display – the first time this feature’s been offered in this segment.

Performance and Charging Improvements

Audi equipped the updated Q4 e-tron with a new motor that delivers 10% better efficiency. A more efficient transmission works alongside the motor upgrade.

These powertrain changes boost range by 10-20 miles depending on the variant. The sportback performance variant now achieves up to 367 miles of range.

Battery pack options remain at 59kWh or 77kWh. However, DC fast charging on higher-spec models increases to 185kW.

The improved charging rate means 10-80% recharging takes as little as 27 minutes. Drivers can add 115 miles of range in just 10 minutes.

Audi added vehicle-to-load charging capability, following other MEB platform vehicles. This feature lets owners charge devices from laptops to e-bikes using the car’s drive battery – either through a charge port adapter or a power socket in the boot.

Pricing and Availability

UK orders open in June, with deliveries beginning later in the summer.

Pricing starts at £46,260 for the Q4 SUV e-tron Sport. The Sportback variant costs an additional £1,900 across all trim levels.

The lineup includes S line, Black Edition and Vorsprung specifications above the base Sport trim.

All trim levels offer three powertrain options:

  • 201bhp rear-mounted motor
  • 282bhp rear-mounted motor
  • 335bhp all-wheel-drive system

The range-topping Q4 quattro performance Vorsprung 340 starts from £68,660.
