Spanish electric supercar manufacturer Baltasar is set to unveil the REVOLT R Concept at Automobile Barcelona 2025, marking a significant evolution in high-performance EVs. This track-only version builds on the street-legal REVOLT with extreme racing capabilities.

The world premiere runs through May 18, showcasing what the company calls its most uncompromising machine yet – an aerodynamically enhanced electric prototype built exclusively for racetracks.

The REVOLT R Concept takes the original REVOLT – introduced in 2021 and finishing homologation before its 2026 commercial launch – to new performance heights. It features a comprehensive aerodynamic package including an aggressive front end, splitter, side skirts, and a large active rear wing with driver-operated DRS system.

Inside, everything serves racing functionality. The car contains a single FIA-homologated carbon seat, removable Formula-style steering wheel, and magnesium single-nut wheels with slick tires.

Catalan Engineering and Production

Both REVOLT models are hand-built entirely in Catalonia. Development happens at Baltasar’s Cerdanyola del Vallès headquarters, while production will move to a new facility in nearby Sant Cugat del Vallès.

The cars use carbon fiber construction with chromoly steel safety cages that meet FIA safety standards.

Weighing just 800kg, the REVOLT R combines lightweight design with advanced technology. Its suspension system uses carbon fiber and aerospace-grade aluminum pushrods.

The high-performance battery – developed with MILLOR BATTERY, another company led by Baltasar López – can reach 80% charge in just five minutes using DC fast charging. Enchufing, Spain’s EV charging network specialist, will provide charging infrastructure support.

Each REVOLT R will be tailored to buyer specifications and hand-assembled, reflecting Baltasar’s commitment to combining craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology.

While the exact launch date remains unconfirmed, the REVOLT R is expected to be priced around €450,000.
