Nick Cassidy won the 2025 Marvel Fantastic Four London E-Prix on his final race weekend with Jaguar TCS Racing. The New Zealander charged from fifth on the grid to take victory in Round 15 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
Nyck de Vries finished second for Mahindra Racing, with Pascal Wehrlein completing the podium for Porsche.
The win marked Cassidy’s second straight victory after Jaguar’s double win in Berlin. It’s only the fifth time a team has achieved three consecutive wins in Formula E history.
The result also provided a perfect send-off for outgoing Jaguar Team Principal James Barclay, who’s stepping down after spearheading the manufacturer’s return to motorsport.
Wehrlein secured fastest lap points – a boost to Porsche’s championship campaigns. The German manufacturer now leads Nissan by 39 points in both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ standings with just 47 points remaining.
Strategic masterclass decides London victory
Mitch Evans led from pole position with de Vries holding second through the opening chicane. Early contact between Edo Mortara and Maximilian Guenther damaged the DS PENSKE driver’s suspension, bringing out the Safety Car on Lap 2.
Evans continued leading after the Lap 4 restart. De Vries held second ahead of Wehrlein, while Cassidy began his charge from fifth.
The race turned during the PIT BOOST window around Lap 17. Cassidy timed his pit stop and ATTACK MODE activation perfectly, emerging in net first by Lap 20.
De Vries and Wehrlein attempted the overcut strategy with late stops on Lap 25.
The strategy worked initially – de Vries rejoined ahead of Cassidy. But the Jaguar driver struck back on Lap 27, using his second ATTACK MODE to retake the lead out of the final turn.
Dan Ticktum triggered chaos by clipping Evans into a spin, dropping the polesitter out of the points. Ticktum crashed at Turn 9 shortly after, bringing out another Safety Car.
The final restart on Lap 35 set up a sprint finish. Cassidy led cleanly while fending off pressure from de Vries and Wehrlein.
Stoffel Vandoorne finished fourth for Maserati MSG Racing. Jake Dennis took fifth with Jean-Eric Vergne completing the top six.
The victory moved Cassidy to third in the Drivers’ standings with one round remaining. Oliver Rowland retains the championship lead despite finishing 11th in London. Wehrlein sits second in the title fight.
“To win in London, on James’s final weekend, and in my last drive for Jaguar – it means everything. We were aggressive with the strategy and the team delivered. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together.”
Formula E’s season finale will determine multiple championship battles across all categories.
