DS has announced pricing for its all-electric No4, which will start at £36,995 when it launches in October.

The electric hatchback marks the first time DS’s C-segment family car has gone fully electric. It’s the French brand’s answer to cars like the Volkswagen ID.3.

Every DS No4 uses the same powertrain – a front-mounted 58.3kWh battery that produces 213bhp and 253lb ft of torque. DS estimates the car will travel 278 miles on a single charge under WLTP testing.

The entry-level Pallas trim includes dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster for £36,995.

Step up to the Pallas+ for £39,160 and you’ll get keyless entry plus a heat pump that helps maintain efficiency during cold weather.

The top Etoile trim costs £41,860. It adds an Alcantara dashboard and 360-degree parking cameras.

Shared Technology

The No4 shares its electric drivetrain with the Peugeot e-408 and Citroen e-C4. All three cars can rapid charge at up to 120kW – enough to add 60% charge in around 30 minutes.

DS has also updated the No4’s styling. The front end gets new lights, a nose-wide lightbar, updated grille, and bonnet design inspired by the brand’s flagship DS No8.

The No4 has been DS’s best-seller in the UK since launching in 2021, with 2,300 cars sold.

But the Stellantis-owned brand has struggled across Europe. Sales dropped 22.4% last year to just 10,405 cars total.

Looking Ahead

Despite the sales challenges, reports suggest DS will introduce a DS No7 to its lineup.

The mid-sized SUV is expected to share styling cues with the No4 and No8. It’ll offer all-electric power from either a 73kWh or 98kWh battery.

Like the Vauxhall Grandland and Citroen C5 Aircross, the No7 will use Stellantis’s STLA-M platform designed for mid-sized vehicles.
