Faraday Future plans to launch affordable EVs and a luxury minivan under its new FX sub-brand, the company announced at CES 2025 in Las Vegas.
The FX lineup includes the FX 5, priced between $20,000 and $30,000, and the FX 6, ranging from $30,000 to $50,000. Both models will offer fully electric and gas-extended range versions.
The company’s approach mirrors the asset-light strategy previously used by Fisker, focusing on partnerships rather than owning manufacturing facilities.
In a surprise announcement, Faraday Future revealed a third model – a luxury minivan called the Super One.
The Super One will cater to both leaders and visionary groups, represented by celebrities, stars, and high-profile business professionals
This positioning aligns the Super One with Faraday’s existing FF 91 electric SUV, which sells for $309,000.
The company displayed camouflaged prototypes of the FX 6 crossover and Super One minivan. The Super One could compete with the Volkswagen ID.Buzz – Green Car Reports’ Best Car To Buy 2025 – but targets a more upscale market.
Faraday Future is testing vehicles for U.S. regulatory approval and plans to fully reveal the Super One in spring 2025. The company aims to begin pre-production of at least one new model by year-end, pending funding.
While Faraday has secured $60 million in commitments since September 2024, launching new vehicles requires significantly more capital.
The company’s production capabilities remain untested at mass-market scale. Its flagship FF 91 faced lengthy delays – taking more than six years from its CES 2017 debut to first customer delivery in August 2023.
