Fiat sets £20,975 starting price for Grande Panda EV, making it one of Britain’s most affordable electric cars when it launches this spring.
The new Grande Panda EV comes in £1,000 below the Citroen E-C3’s price point. Only two EVs will cost less in the UK market — the Dacia Spring at £14,995 and Leapmotor T03 at £15,995.
Two trim levels will be available at launch — Red and La Prima. Both feature:
- 44kWh battery pack
- 111bhp electric motor
- 199-mile range
- 0-62mph in 11 seconds
- 110kW DC charging (10-80% in 27 minutes)
The entry-level Red trim, part of Fiat’s Red AIDS charity partnership, includes 16-inch white steel wheels, LED lighting, and a 10.2-inch touchscreen with Android and Apple connectivity. Cruise control and rear parking sensors come standard.
La Prima trim adds premium features for £23,975:
- 17-inch alloy wheels
- Heated seats
- Automatic climate control
- Built-in navigation with EV route planning
- Wireless phone charging
- Front parking sensors
The Grande Panda marks Fiat’s first vehicle built on parent company Stellantis’ Smart Car platform — shared with the Citroen E-C3 and Vauxhall Frontera. It leads a planned “global family” of Panda models that could include an SUV, city car, and campervan.
Design elements honor the 1980s Panda’s boxy styling with upright panels and straight lines. SUV details borrowed from the Sisley Panda 4×4 include black cladding, roof rails, and a front skid plate. The Panda name appears on door panels and the boot lid.
Modern features blend with retro styling — PXL square LED lights and a charging port behind the classic Fiat badge.
Inside, the 3.99-meter Grande Panda’s cabin draws inspiration from Turin’s Lingotto test track with oval design elements. Sustainable materials made from recycled drinks containers complement twin digital displays. Despite compact dimensions matching the Renault 5, it seats five with 361 liters of cargo space.
