Fiat has confirmed its three-wheeled Tris EV will launch across Europe later this year. The compact commercial vehicle offers a 56-mile range and 540kg loading capacity.
The Tris launched in Morocco and India last December. It’s available in three configurations – chassis-cabin, flatbed, and pickup truck variants.
Urban Delivery Focus
Fiat designed the Tris specifically for last-mile deliveries and urban transport. Think food delivery and online shopping logistics.
The vehicle measures just 3.17 meters long. That’s roughly the length of a Smart car.
A 6.9kWh battery powers a 12bhp electric motor producing 33lb-ft of torque. Top speed reaches 28mph – perfect for city centers where speed limits stay low.
Charging and Features
The Tris includes an integrated 220V plug for standard home charging. Zero to 80% takes 3.5 hours from a domestic outlet.
A complete charge requires four hours and 40 minutes.
Despite its small size, the vehicle gets regenerative braking to extend range during stop-and-go urban driving. Standard equipment includes a 5.7-inch digital display and full LED lighting.
The tubular chassis features automotive-grade zinc coating for corrosion protection.
European Rollout
Fiat hasn’t announced specific pricing or exact launch dates. The company confirmed Italy will be the first European market later this year.
Additional European markets will follow, though the timeline remains unclear.
The Tris already sells in several African markets beyond Morocco, plus India.
Stellantis’ CustomFit program will support the Tris in Europe. The initiative offers factory and aftermarket customization through more than 600 authorized partners worldwide.
Stellantis Portfolio
The Tris joins other compact commercial vehicles in the Stellantis lineup. The Citroen Ami Cargo sells in the UK starting at £7,995.
Opel offers the Rocks with an optional Kargo Kit across Europe.
These vehicles target the same last-mile delivery market that’s growing rapidly as online shopping expands and cities implement stricter emissions zones.
