Genesis has opened order books for the updated 2025 Electrified GV70, revealing comprehensive changes to its all-electric SUV.
The Korean premium brand previously announced pricing and has now detailed visual upgrades, equipment enhancements, and new trim levels for the refreshed model.
Most noticeable exterior changes include a redesigned ‘G-Matrix’ Crest grille and new two-line LED headlights with Micro Lens Array technology for improved adaptive lighting. The front bumper has been reshaped to update the vehicle’s appearance.
Rear modifications include repositioned indicators and two-line chrome detailing that mirrors the headlight design. The high-level spoiler now houses both the rear-view camera and brake light.
A new Ceres blue paint option joins the existing 13-color palette. Dynamic and Luxury trims come standard with 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
New Trim Structure and Interior Upgrades
The single Sport trim from the previous model has been replaced with three options: Pure, Dynamic, and Luxury.
All versions feature upgraded soft-touch materials throughout the cabin, complemented by new aluminum accents and ‘Milky Way’ patterned ambient lighting.
The updated SUV introduces a “Mood Curator” system that combines lighting, music, and scents to create different cabin atmospheres – Vitality, Delight, Calm and Comfort. In vehicles equipped with Ergo Motion seats, the system also integrates massage functions.
Buyers can choose from four interior color combinations: Obsidian Black, Frozen Grey/Urban Brown and Glacier White/Icy Blue.
The dashboard has been completely redesigned, featuring a new steering wheel and heating controls. The previous dual 12.3-inch screens have been replaced by a panoramic 27-inch OLED “Integrated Cockpit” that combines infotainment and driver instruments.
Technology and Performance
A new Digital Key 2 system allows owners to unlock their vehicle automatically as they approach using a smartphone app. The system works with a built-in fingerprint sensor to enable keyless starting.
The 2025 Electrified GV70 starts at £65,915 – £1,615 more than the outgoing model.
Standard equipment across all trims includes full LED lighting, powered tailgate, heated leather front seats and steering wheel, three-zone climate control, and highway driving assist. Road-scanning adaptive air suspension and an energy-saving heat pump are also standard.
Dynamic trim (£70,715) adds 20-inch wheels, enhanced highway driving assistance, head-up display, 360-degree camera, and remote parking capabilities.
Luxury trim (£74,915) includes a panoramic sunroof, cooled front seats, heated rear seats, and active noise cancellation.
While the dual-motor powertrain remains unchanged at 483bhp with all-wheel drive, the battery capacity has increased from 77.4kWh to 84kWh. This boosts maximum range by 15 miles to 298 miles.
Genesis has confirmed the GV70 will only be sold as a pure EV in the UK, having discontinued all petrol and diesel models in the market.
