Genesis has revealed fresh details of its updated G80 saloon, promising more space, luxury and tech than before.
Following the Korean brand’s decision to go all-electric in the UK, the 2025 Genesis Electrified G80 will be the only version of its flagship four-door and comes exclusively in extended wheelbase guise.
The new model adds 13cm between the wheels to offer more interior space. Despite the additional weight, a new 94.5kWh battery maintains the same 323-mile range as the outgoing model.
Visual changes to the Electrified G80 are subtle. A refreshed lower bumper sits beneath the same crest grille, while new 19-inch alloy wheel designs appear alongside an exclusive Geneva Silver paint finish and 13 other color options.
The charging port has been upgraded with a powered door, heating and illumination – a practical improvement that enhances usability.
Under the hood, the Electrified G80 keeps its twin-motor setup, delivering 365bhp and all-wheel-drive. The longer wheelbase will likely impact the previous model’s five-second 0-62mph time.
Ultra-rapid DC charging allows a 10-80% charge in 25 minutes.
Inside, Genesis has introduced new seat designs for improved comfort throughout the cabin, plus an optional Prussian Blue interior finish. The dashboard now features the same 27-inch ‘connected car interactive display’ found in the updated Electrified GV70, complemented by extended leather finishes.
The G80 comes in a single Dynamic trim level that includes:
- New adaptive LED headlights
- Road-scanning adaptive air suspension
- Active noise cancelling
- 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system with Dolby Atmos
It also features ‘digital key 2.0’ allowing owners to open and start their G80 with a fingerprint, plus an anti-bacterial UV-C steriliser system that sanitises items stored in the compartment under the front armrest.
Optional extras include rear-wheel steering and a ‘comfort’ pack with electrically closing rear doors and powered window blinds.
Prices for the new Genesis Electrified G80 haven’t been confirmed yet, but will likely exceed the current model’s £76,500 starting point when orders open on June 3.
