Genesis revealed a specialized mountain rescue concept of its GV60 electric SUV at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The GV60 Mountain Intervention Vehicle (MIV) features triangular caterpillar tracks designed for snow and rough terrain operations.

Genesis modified the standard electric SUV with carbon fiber wheel arch extensions and protective skid plates. The concept includes a heavy-duty roof rack and a pull-out storage system in the cargo area for rescue equipment, medical supplies, and emergency communications gear.

The powertrain appears unchanged from the production GV60, likely maintaining its twin-motor setup producing 483 horsepower and 513 pound-feet of torque.

This marks Genesis’s third consecutive concept vehicle showcase at Davos, following the Genesis X Concept in 2023 and Genesis X Snow Speedium Concept in 2024.

“Genesis prides itself on creating safe, well-designed luxury vehicles that are audacious, progressive and distinctly Korean,” said Luc Donckerwolke, Genesis chief creative officer. “The GV60 MIV Concept expands this vision of comfort and care.”

The rescue vehicle concept draws inspiration from existing small unit support vehicles, adapting the premium electric SUV platform for emergency response capabilities in mountainous environments.
