Honda will showcase its new Super EV compact electric concept car at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, marking the global debut of the Japanese automaker’s latest urban EV vision.

The concept car joins European debuts of Honda’s next-generation electric SUV and two electric motorcycle concepts at the annual automotive event.

Super EV Targets Urban Market

According to Honda, the Super EV Concept demonstrates how an A-segment model can deliver what the company calls “fresh, fun-to-drive” electric performance while maintaining Honda’s focus on usability.

Honda completed feasibility testing for the Super EV in the UK as part of a global development program. The testing suggests the concept could become one of seven new all-electric models Honda plans to launch in the coming years.

If it reaches production, the Super EV would compete directly with the Hyundai Inster, BYD Dolphin Surf, and the upcoming Renault Twingo – along with the rumored return of the Citroen 2CV.

The Festival of Speed runs from July 10 to 13.

Honda 0 SUV Makes European Debut

The Honda 0 SUV prototype first appeared at the CES show in Las Vegas this January. It’s built on Honda’s new EV-specific platform and evolves from the Space Hub concept shown in 2024.

Honda targets a 300-mile range for the 0 SUV and is developing both single- and dual-motor variants. The company says the SUV’s driver assistance systems will rank among the most advanced available.

The 0 SUV launches in the US in early 2026 before arriving in Europe later that year. It’s expected to compete with the Tesla Model Y.

Electric Motorcycle Concepts

Honda’s two-wheeled concepts include the EV Fun Concept – the brand’s first full-size electric motorcycle – and the smaller Urban EV concept.

The Urban EV showcases Honda’s vision for city electric mobility with what the company describes as “function-focused design.”

“We are excited to return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year with a dynamic pan-brand showcase of everything Honda has to offer our European customers,” said Hans de Jaeger, senior vice president of Honda Motor Europe.

Honda plans to reveal additional details about the Super EV concept during the festival.
