Hyundai has revealed full UK pricing for its flagship Ioniq 9 SUV, with the electric seven-seater starting at £64,995 when it launches later this year.

The Ioniq 9 comes in three trim levels – Premium, Ultimate, and Calligraphy. It’s available as either a six- or seven-seater depending on configuration.

The entry-level Premium starts at £64,995 with rear-wheel drive. It uses a single motor producing 215bhp and 258lb ft of torque with a range of 385 miles.

Even the base Premium model comes loaded with equipment. Standard features include 19-inch alloy wheels, Ioniq’s signature pixel LED lights front and rear, flush door handles, and an electric tailgate.

Interior Features and Technology

Inside, the Premium gets tri-zone climate control and a combined 24.6-inch display setup – two 12.3-inch screens for the driver display and infotainment system. The heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated seats, plus leather and wool upholstery come standard.

Tech features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two 100W USB-C charging ports in the second and third rows, and three ports up front.

The Ultimate trim costs £73,495 and only comes with twin-motor all-wheel drive producing 303bhp and 446lb ft of torque. Despite the extra power, range drops just slightly to 372 miles.

Ultimate upgrades include 20-inch wheels, panoramic glass roof, head-up display, active road noise cancelling, Bose sound system, full leather with massaging seats, and heated/ventilated seats in the first two rows. The third row folds electronically.

Flagship Calligraphy Model

The top Calligraphy trim starts at £75,795 and adds 21-inch wheels, body-colored wheel arches, and unique bumper graphics. Interior upgrades include Nappa leather upholstery, two-tone steering wheel, and a sterilization tray that eliminates 99.9% of germs.

The Calligraphy can be upgraded to a 421bhp dual-motor setup for an extra £1,800, bringing the price to £77,595. This cuts the 0-62mph time from 6.7 seconds to 5.2 seconds.

Buyers can also swap the middle bench for swiveling captain’s chairs, though this reduces capacity to six seats and costs £78,595.

Charging and Battery Performance

All Ioniq 9 models use the same 110kWh battery with 800V architecture supporting up to 233kW charging speeds. This allows charging from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes.

Vehicle-to-grid capability comes standard across the range.

The Ioniq 9 costs more than alternatives like the Peugeot E-5008 (under £49k) and Volkswagen ID.Buzz LWB (under £60k). However, it undercuts the seven-seat Volvo EX90 by £18,000 and competes well against premium five-seat SUVs like the BMW iX (from £75,405) and Polestar 3 (from £69,910).

Hyundai hasn’t announced an official UK launch date for the Ioniq 9 yet.
