InstaVolt expanded its Summer Special off-peak pricing to three charging hubs in the East Midlands, Exeter, and Southampton. The discounted rates run through August 31, 2025.
The charge point operator first launched the Summer Special at its Winchester Superhub earlier this year. App users and RFID customers pay just 50p per kWh during off-peak hours.
Contactless and mobile roaming users pay 54p per kWh. The reduced rates apply 24/7 throughout the promotional period.
When the deal expires at the end of August, pricing returns to the standard 87p per kWh during peak hours – 8pm to 7am.
Latest Site Expansions
The newest locations include a six-charger hub on Normanton Road in Derby. InstaVolt also activated the pricing at the eight-charger site at Gissons Hotel in Kenford, Exeter.
The Southampton location features four chargers at the Purlieu Centre on Hardley industrial estate.
InstaVolt rolled out its cut-price program at Winchester Superhub in late June. The company later expanded to Syon Park in West London and the Bodmin Hub at Bodmin Retail Park in Cornwall after the initial success.
Network Overview
InstaVolt operates the UK’s largest ultra-rapid charging network with over 2,133 chargers across 250+ sites. All locations run on 100% renewable energy.
Charging speeds reach up to 160kW across the network.
The company plans to install 11,000 chargers across the UK and Republic of Ireland by 2030. InstaVolt’s Winchester SuperHub features 44 ultra-rapid 160kW chargers and 870 on-site solar panels with 500kW capacity.
The Winchester facility earned a shortlisting for EV Infrastructure Project of the Year at the 2025 Solar & Storage Live Awards.
The Summer Special represents InstaVolt’s strategy to boost charging during traditionally slower periods while maintaining competitive pricing across payment methods.
