InstaVolt has launched a “Summer Special” discount for drivers using its Winchester Superhub, offering significantly reduced charging rates through the summer months.
From May until August 31, 2025, EV drivers will pay just 54p/kWh at the flagship location – a 38% reduction from the standard 87p/kWh rate. InstaVolt app users and payment card holders will receive an even better deal at 50p/kWh.
The company says the seasonal discount takes advantage of increased energy production from the site’s extensive solar panel array during summer months.
The Winchester Superhub – InstaVolt’s largest charging location – features 44 160kW chargers powered by renewable energy, including electricity generated by 870 on-site solar panels and a 4MWh battery storage system.
Delvin Lane, CEO of InstaVolt, said: “With the summer holidays fast approaching, and thanks to the innovative onsite solar-to-battery technology system installed, we’re proud to offer a special rate at our Winchester Superhub to help EV drivers power their journeys for less.
“This initiative reflects our commitment to making rapid charging both accessible and affordable, while delivering the quality experience InstaVolt is known for.”
Located near the busy A34 and close to the M3, the Superhub offers amenities including a Starbucks café, children’s play area, and dedicated dog walking zone.
The summer promotion follows an earlier special launch rate at the Winchester location that also offered charging from 54p/kWh.
When the promotion ends at 7pm on August 31, pricing will return to standard rates. Contactless payments and those made through roaming partners such as Corpay and Octopus Electroverse will revert to 87p/kWh.
InstaVolt RFID or app customers will see prices return to 65p/kWh during peak hours (7am-7pm) and 50p/kWh during off-peak times (7pm-7am).
