Isuzu announced pricing for its all-electric D-Max EV pick-up truck, starting at £59,995 excluding VAT when order books open later in 2025. The company says first UK deliveries will begin in February.

The electric truck will be available in extended or double cab configurations across three trim levels.

Entry-level eDL40 starts at £59,995 – including chrome exterior detailing, eight-inch infotainment screen, seven-inch driver display, heated front leather seats, and dual-zone climate control.

Standard equipment also includes front and rear parking sensors, Rough Terrain Mode, and a six-speaker sound system. Buyers get Splash White paint as standard, with metallic Mercury Silver, Biarritz Blue, and mica Obsidian Grey and Onyx Black available for £600 extra.

The mid-tier twin-cab eDL40 carries the same equipment and color options as its extended cab version but costs £60,995 due to the additional space.

Top-spec eV-Cross model priced at £62,495 – only available as a double cab. It adds dark grey detailing, a nine-inch infotainment screen, eight-speaker premium sound system, and optional pearlescent Dolomite White paint over the standard eDL40 features.

240kW Twin-Motor Setup Standard Across Range

All D-Max EV models come with permanent four-wheel drive and a 240kW twin-motor drivetrain paired with a 66.9kWh battery pack. Isuzu claims this setup delivers Europe’s first all-electric truck offering both one-tonne payload and 3.5-tonne towing capacity.

The truck achieves a WLTP range of 164 miles and accelerates from 0-62mph in 10.1 seconds.

It maintains 600mm water wading capacity and 210mm ground clearance – matching the capabilities of its internal combustion counterpart.

EV-specific blue design elements and D-Max EV badging distinguish the electric version from the standard diesel model across all trim levels.

“We’re incredibly proud to launch the D-Max EV at a competitive price point for a fully electric, fully capable, and work-ready 4×4 pick-up,” said Neil Scott, Isuzu UK’s national sales manager.

“There’s nothing else like it in the market today that combines zero-emission driving with full commercial capability. With high levels of equipment as standard, refined ride quality, and Isuzu’s legendary toughness, the D-Max EV offers true value and a sustainable solution for fleets and professionals alike.”

The D-Max EV represents Isuzu’s entry into the electric commercial vehicle market – targeting businesses requiring zero-emission transport without compromising payload or towing capacity.
