Jeep announced pricing for its all-electric Compass First Edition, which will start at £39,200 when sales begin in the third quarter of 2025.

The third-generation Compass represents Jeep’s latest electric vehicle effort. It’s built on Stellantis’ STLA medium platform – the same foundation used for other electric models including the Peugeot e5008 and Vauxhall Grandland.

Power comes from a 74kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor.

The setup delivers 216bhp and 254 lb ft of torque. Range varies depending on drivetrain configuration.

Front-wheel drive models achieve a WLTP-estimated 402 miles on a single charge. Four-wheel drive variants see range drop to 372 miles.

Charging capabilities include 160kW DC fast charging, which takes the battery from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes. A 22kW onboard charger handles slower charging needs.

Jeep offers the Compass First Edition in Hawaii green as standard. Optional colors include Pacific blue, Antarctica white, Amazonia green with brown hues, Yosemite grey, and Vulcano black. All paint schemes extend to the roof, though buyers can opt for a blacked-out roof at extra cost.

Design and Practicality

The First Edition comes with 20-inch black alloy wheels and blacked-out body cladding throughout. Storage options include a 34-liter front trunk and 550 liters of boot space.

The rear seats split 40/20/40 for cargo flexibility.

Interior features include heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and dual-zone climate control. The dashboard centers around a 16-inch infotainment screen, while drivers get a 10-inch digital instrument cluster.

An optional Premium Pack adds an upgraded sound system plus ventilated and massaging vinyl seats.

Off-Road Capability

Despite its electric powertrain, the Compass maintains Jeep’s off-road credentials. Ground clearance measures 200mm, with approach, breakover, and departure angles of 20, 15, and 26 degrees respectively.

The vehicle can ford water up to 470mm deep.

Jeep’s also offering a hybrid version of the Compass First Edition. That model produces 147bhp and starts at £35,700 – creating a £3,500 price gap between the hybrid and fully electric variants.

The electric Compass enters a competitive market segment, positioning itself against other electric SUVs with similar range and pricing. Its combination of Jeep’s traditional off-road capability with modern electric technology could appeal to buyers seeking both environmental consciousness and outdoor adventure capability.
