Kia is bringing its upcoming EV4 and EV5 models directly to potential customers through its nationwide ‘Kia Electric Experience’ tour. The preview events will run across selected UK dealerships from July 8th through November 2nd, 2025.

The manufacturer’s latest electric vehicles target key market segments – the EV4 as a Tesla Model 3 rival and the EV5 competing against SUVs like the Tesla Model Y and Skoda Enyaq.

EV4 Offers Two Body Styles

Kia’s EV4 will arrive in UK showrooms as either a saloon or hatchback configuration. The saloon variant directly challenges the Tesla Model 3, while the hatchback version competes with the Volkswagen ID.3.

Both versions use Kia’s dedicated Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) with 400V electrical architecture.

The EV4 comes with two battery options – a 58.3kWh unit or an 81.4kWh battery. Engineers achieved an ultra-low drag coefficient of just 0.23Cd to maximize driving range.

EV5 Targets SUV Market

The EV5 represents Kia’s answer to the competitive mid-size electric SUV segment. It’ll face direct competition from the Tesla Model Y, Skoda Enyaq, and Peugeot e-3008.

Like its EV4 sibling, the EV5 sits on the same E-GMP platform and features an 81.4kWh battery paired with a 160kW front-mounted motor.

Both models are expected to reach UK dealerships by the end of 2025. Kia plans to reveal official specifications, pricing, and exact launch dates during early Q3 this year.

The tour will also showcase Kia’s existing electric lineup – the EV3 compact SUV, EV6 crossover, and full-sized EV9 SUV. This gives potential buyers a comprehensive look at the brand’s electric vehicle strategy.

Expert Guidance Available

Brand specialists will attend each Kia Electric Experience event to address customer concerns about switching to electric vehicles. They’ll provide detailed information about charging, range, and ownership costs.

The sessions aim to demystify electric vehicle ownership for drivers considering their first EV purchase.

The Kia Electric Experience website lists participating dealerships and event schedules. Interested customers need to reserve their spots in advance since places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The preview events represent Kia’s strategy to build customer confidence before the official launch of its two newest electric models later this year.
