Leapmotor will unveil its all-electric B05 hatchback for the first time in the UK at the inaugural Manchester Motor Show on January 10.

The Chinese automaker’s first C-segment hatchback measures 4.4 meters long and 1.8 meters wide. Leapmotor expects the B05 to undercut competitors like the Kia EV4, Renault Mégane, and Volkswagen ID.3 with pricing below £30,000.

Interior and Technical Specifications

Leapmotor hasn’t released interior photos of the B05 yet. The company’s expected to follow the screen-focused, premium approach seen in the full-sized C10 and smaller B10 SUVs.

Technical details remain under wraps, but the B05 will likely share the B10’s powertrain setup.

That means a front-mounted motor delivering 215 horsepower, zero to 62 mph acceleration in eight seconds, and a top speed of 105 mph. The B10 comes with a 67.1kWh battery pack providing 270 miles of range. The more aerodynamic B05 should improve on that figure – likely reaching closer to 300 miles per charge.

Stellantis Multi-Brand Showcase

Leapmotor will display its full UK lineup at Manchester – including the C10, B10, and T03 city car alongside the B05 debut.

The company won’t be alone at the show. Parent company Stellantis is planning a multi-marque showcase across several brands.

Vauxhall will bring its 276-horsepower Mokka GSE, the rally-spec Mokka GSE Rally, and the new Astra.

Peugeot’s presenting its Polygon Concept – a preview of the next-generation 208 featuring the brand’s revolutionary ‘Hypersquare’ steering system. The concept showcases Peugeot’s vision for redefining vehicle controls and creating a more immersive electric driving experience.

Citroën will celebrate its Formula E entry with a dedicated display area. The French brand’s experiencing renewed momentum through its electrification push. Visitors can see the new ë-C3 Aircross, ë-C3 van, recently launched ë-C5 Aircross SUV, and updated Ami Buggy.

The Manchester Motor Show runs from 9am to 5pm at Manchester Central Convention Complex. Entry is free.
