Leapmotor launches two new EVs in UK market with competitive pricing
Chinese automaker Leapmotor has entered the UK market with two all-electric vehicles. The compact T03 supermini starts at £15,995, while the larger C10 SUV is priced from £36,500.
The T03 positions itself as a competitor to the budget-friendly Dacia Spring and slightly more expensive Citroen E-C3. Beyond its outright purchase price, customers can lease the T03 for £199 per-month with a £199 deposit over four years.
Built in Poland, the T03 comes in a single trim level packed with features including a 10.1-inch infotainment display, keyless go, and a 42-inch panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade. It also offers an 8-inch LCD driver’s display, 15-inch alloy wheels, heated electric mirrors, and power windows throughout.
The T03 delivers up to 165 miles of range from its 37.3kWh battery.
Similarly, the Leapmotor C10 SUV is available in just one trim level. This competitor to the Škoda Enyaq, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV6 can be leased from £399 per-month with a matching £399 deposit.
The C10 comes standard with electronically-operated heated and cooled front seats, 20-inch wheels, and a heated steering wheel. Its technology package includes a 14.6-inch HD central touchscreen, 10.25-inch instrument cluster, and a 12-speaker audio system. The ambient lighting system can sync with music for an enhanced cabin experience.
With its larger 69.9kWh battery, the C10 achieves up to 263 miles of range on a single charge. The SUV has also earned a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP.
“These exciting new electric cars epitomise our bold mission to be the best value EV brand in the UK by delivering the highest level of specification and the highest level of technology, as standard,” said Damien Dally, Leapmotor’s UK managing director. “We believe customers shouldn’t have to compromise on quality for affordability and that this is truly a value without compromise proposition for UK car buyers.”
Dally emphasized the company’s connection to Stellantis as a key advantage. “What makes Leapmotor unique is we’re backed by the extensive and experienced Stellantis UK retailer network and aftersales care, which in turn guarantees unrivalled peace of mind for customers. The combination of our cutting-edge technology, exceptional specification, value for money and an established dealer infrastructure means that, unlike with other car brands joining the UK market, buyers will not be taking a leap into the unknown when choosing a Leapmotor.”
Automotive giant Stellantis holds a 51% stake in Leapmotor and is responsible for introducing the Chinese brand to the UK. This partnership gives Leapmotor immediate access to Stellantis’ dealer network, with 44 retailers nationwide available at launch.
The company plans to expand to over 80 dealerships across the UK by the end of 2025.
