British EV Conversion Specialist Lunaz Reports 150% Order Surge

Lunaz’s electrified classic car conversions saw orders jump 150% across global markets, with the UK retaining 35% of total orders.

The Silverstone-based company’s clients are spending 18% more on custom materials and engineering upgrades. Secondary market values of Lunaz vehicles have increased 22%.

Production resumed in May 2024 after a brief administration period, with all 2025 delivery slots now allocated. Order books extend into late 2026, reflecting growing demand for electric classic car conversions.

“The growth of our export business, along with the appreciating value of Lunaz cars offered to the secondary market, demonstrates a global appreciation for the Lunaz proposition – to marry cutting-edge technology and exceptional driving dynamics with the style of an era when beauty was the only requirement,” said David Lorenz, Lunaz founder and CEO.

The company’s restoration process involves a 5,500-hour bare-metal rebuild at its Silverstone facility. Each vehicle receives concours-quality finishing before delivery.

The current Lunaz lineup includes electric conversions of the:

  • Aston Martin DB6
  • Range Rover Classic Safari
  • Rolls-Royce Phantom
  • Jaguar XJ120

Each model features Lunaz’s proprietary electric powertrain using OEM battery cells and motors. The vehicles offer:

  • Up to 80kWh battery capacity
  • CCS fast-charging capability
  • 200-mile maximum range

Pricing for all models starts in the six-figure range.
