Mercedes-AMG has revealed the first interior images of its upcoming GT 4-Door electric super-saloon, showcasing a driver-focused cockpit packed with screens and performance-oriented controls.
The all-electric four-door arrives later this year. While Mercedes-AMG keeps the final exterior design under wraps, the cabin reveals a screen-heavy layout combining leather, chrome and carbon fiber finishes.
The interior features a low-slung seating position typical of sports cars. A wraparound dashboard design aims to create what Mercedes-AMG calls a “focused and emotional driving sensation.”
Triple Screen Setup Dominates Dashboard
Three main displays control the cabin experience. The driver gets a customizable 10.2-inch instrument cluster that changes based on drive mode selection.
A 14-inch infotainment touchscreen sits angled toward the driver. The passenger receives their own 14-inch display to access what Mercedes-AMG describes as the “sporty digital experience.”
Additional screens appear in the steering wheel itself – positioned at the center of two customizable control dials. The flat-bottomed steering wheel comes in leather or microfiber finishes.
Unlike newer Mercedes models that use smooth haptic controls, the GT 4-Door’s steering wheel features traditional roller and rocker buttons for improved usability.
AMG Race Engineer Gets Physical Controls
Three illuminated, knurled dials in the center console provide access to AMG Race Engineer functions. Each dial controls a specific driving element independently.
Drivers can adjust throttle response, suspension stiffness and traction control separately for precise customization.
Ambient lighting extends throughout the cabin – covering armrests, air vents, phone charging pads and even the panoramic sunroof. The roof features an illuminated AMG logo and pinstriping that lights up at night.
The cabin emphasizes red accents throughout. Diamond-quilted door cards feature red stitching that extends to seat bolsters, seatbelts and center console contrast stitching.
Buyers choose between standard sports seats or AMG Performance bucket seats with integrated headrests. Galvanized metal and carbon fiber finishes complete the performance-oriented theme.
“In the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé, we have consistently focused every interior detail on performance and implemented it with the highest precision,” said Mercedes-AMG chairman Michael Schiebe.
“Even when stationary, the interior already showcases what the future GT 4-Door is capable of, making the vehicle’s driving dynamics immediately tangible.”
Production Version Based on Concept Car
The 2026 AMG GT 4-Door uses technical components from the AMG GT XX concept car. That concept produces 1,341 horsepower from a tri-motor electric setup.
The concept recently set the record for longest distance traveled by an EV in 24 hours.
Mercedes-AMG hasn’t confirmed whether the production version will match that four-figure power output as standard. The company expects strong performance that’ll compete directly with the Porsche Taycan.
This marks Affalterbach’s first electric saloon as Mercedes-AMG transitions its performance lineup toward electrification.
