Mercedes-Benz unveiled its Vision Iconic concept, showcasing a bold art-deco design that previews the next-generation S-Class arriving in the UK in 2028.
The Vision Iconic draws heavily from Mercedes’ heritage. It features a long hood and rear styling inspired by the 1954 Mercedes 300 SL ‘Gullwing’.
The front grille stands upright and lights up – similar to the design on the recently-released all-electric GLC.
Mercedes takes this lighting theme further on the Vision Iconic. The three-pointed star also illuminates, which could appear on the upcoming S-Class.
Solar Paint Technology
Mercedes didn’t confirm if the Vision Iconic runs on electricity, but the gloss-black paint suggests a fully-electric setup. The company calls this “wafer-thin” coating revolutionary.
The paint covers 11 square meters of bodywork and contains solar modules. These can generate up to 7,456 miles
