Myenergi has partnered with energy supplier Ovo to offer discounted zappi home chargers to Ovo customers while reducing household energy bills.

The collaboration pairs myenergi’s 7kW and 22kW zappi chargers with Ovo’s Charge Anytime tariff. New and existing Ovo customers can access off-peak charging rates for as little as 7p/kWh.

Off-peak charging typically runs between midnight and 5:00am, though times vary by supplier and tariff.

The zappi range reduces grid reliance and integrates with solar power and battery storage systems. Combined with Ovo’s tariff, users could save up to £620 annually on household energy bills.

Significant Cost Savings

The savings calculation compares the 7p/kWh Charge Anytime rate against the UK’s standard charging rate of 27.03p/kWh.

Ben Harris, myenergi partnerships manager, said the collaboration provides zappi users with simple access to cheaper charging.

“Providing a simple solution to charge when it’s cheapest, the tariff can help to lower your energy bills by as much as £620 per annum. We’re proud to be working closely with the OVO team, who share our vision of a future energy system driven by cleaner and cheaper renewable generation.”

Alex Thwaites, Ovo’s EV director, emphasized the partnership’s role in accelerating electric vehicle adoption.

“Ovo is committed to accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles and this partnership will help do just that, by extending affordable charging to more customers than ever before. This is good news for EV drivers and is also part of our wider commitment to helping customers cut costs and carbon.”

Earlier in 2025, EV Powered ranked Ovo Charge Anytime among the top three most affordable EV home charging tariffs available.

The partnership reflects growing industry efforts to make EV ownership more accessible through reduced charging costs and integrated home energy solutions.
