Nissan announced pricing for its new all-electric Micra, starting at £22,995 when UK order books open September 1, 2025.
The entry-level Engage model features a 40kWh battery delivering 198 miles of range. It’s the most affordable option in Nissan’s first fully electric supermini lineup.
The mid-range Advanced trim starts at £24,996 with the 40kWh battery. Customers can upgrade to a 52kWh battery for £26,995 – that larger battery extends range to 260 miles.
Nissan’s flagship Evolve model comes exclusively with the 52kWh battery and carries a £29,865 price tag.
The company expects to launch an in-house electric car grant worth up to £1,500 that’ll apply to Micra purchases.
This marks a shift for the Micra nameplate, which launched in 1983. It’s the first time Nissan has offered the model as 100% electric and the most high-tech Micra yet.
Fast Charging and Connected Features
A 100kW DC charger enables the car to charge from 15% to 80% in just 30 minutes. Heat pumps to improve charging efficiency come standard across all trim levels.
Like other upcoming Nissan EVs, the new Micra includes NissanConnect functionality. Drivers can remotely monitor charge levels, vehicle location, charging history, scheduling, and cabin temperature.
Mid and top-tier models get integrated Google Maps with built-in route planning. The system automatically identifies charging stations along routes and factors in current charge level, average consumption, and outside temperature.
Equipment Levels
The Engage trim includes:
- 18-inch steel wheels
- 7-inch driver display
- 10.1-inch infotainment screen
- Automatic climate control
- Four-speaker audio system
The Advanced trim adds 18-inch alloy wheels, Google-based infotainment, adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, and wireless phone charging. It also includes multiple drive modes, ambient lighting options, front parking sensors, rear-view camera, and a six-speaker system.
The Evolve builds on Advanced equipment with a Harman/Kardon premium sound system, one-pedal driving, two-tone paint finish, heated front seats and steering wheel. Nissan’s ProPilot autonomous driving assist comes standard – it’s designed for highway use in single-lane traffic.
“Micra is the first of four new fully electric models to arrive on the Nissan line up and we are incredibly excited to be pricing it so competitively,” said James Taylor, Nissan GB managing director.
“Micra is a key strategic model for Nissan, and based on the positive reviews, exciting design, attractive price and a class-leading product, I am looking forward to seeing lots of new Micras on the road soon.”
Besides the Micra, Taylor mentioned three other upcoming Nissan EVs: a third-generation Leaf, a new electric Juke, and a city car arriving in 2026 that’ll sit below the Micra in the brand’s electric lineup.
