Peugeot has revealed an updated version of its all-electric E-408 fastback in Brussels. The refreshed model features redesigned front and rear styling, a new paint option, and extended driving range.

The company introduced illuminated Peugeot lettering at the rear for the first time on any model. This lighting spans across a transparent strip that connects redesigned tail lights based on Peugeot’s signature three-claw design.

Front-end changes include a sharper overall design. The claw-inspired daytime running lights stretch across the full width of the front end – similar to the current E-308 hatchback and wagon models.

The center grille houses an illuminated Peugeot Lion shield that conceals proximity radar sensors. A new trapezoidal bumper contains the headlamps in its lower section, following the design language of recent Peugeot vehicles.

Peugeot added an exclusive “Flare Green” paint finish to the E-408’s color palette. The company says this paint “offers spectacular shade variations depending on light exposure – shifting towards bright yellow in sunlight and deep green in shadow.”

Gloss and matte black accents throughout the bodywork enhance the fastback’s visual impact.

Interior Updates

The cabin receives minimal changes from the current E-408. The 10-inch driver display gets updated graphics, while new materials including aluminum trim, Alcantara, and Nappa leather aim to improve interior quality.

Performance and Range

Peugeot offers a single powertrain option. The electric motor delivers 211 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque, powered by a 58.2-kilowatt-hour battery pack.

DC fast charging reaches speeds up to 120 kilowatts. This allows charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.

Aerodynamic improvements boost the E-408’s range to 283 miles on a single charge. That’s three miles more than the previous model achieved.

The updated E-408 will arrive in UK showrooms within the coming months. Pricing is expected to start around £42,000 – matching the current model’s starting price.
