Osprey Charging to Install Ultra-Rapid EV Hubs at Six Major UK Sites
Legal & General has selected Osprey Charging to build more than 70 new EV charging points across six leisure and retail locations in England.
The first installation is operational at Festival Heights Retail Park in Stoke-on-Trent, featuring four rapid charging points.
Two larger hubs — each with 16 ultra-rapid charging bays — are under construction near major motorways:
- Highbridge Retail Park, Waltham Abbey, Essex
- Woodside Leisure Park, Watford
These locations will serve both travelers and retail customers.
“We’re proud to work with L&G’s ReAssure portfolio, providing the ultra-rapid charging infrastructure that is crucial for the UK’s expanding EV market,” said Andrew Nosworthy, commercial director at Osprey Charging.
“By installing reliable, high-powered charging hubs, we’re making EV ownership more convenient and accessible for drivers across the country, whilst making these excellent retail parks even more attractive to tenants and customers,” Nosworthy added.
Knight Frank, which facilitated the partnership, sees this as a significant step forward. David Goatman, their global head of energy and sustainability, said: “We are delighted to have advised Legal & General on this successful rapid EV charging partner selection. This kind of innovative procurement process will help to deliver crucial low carbon infrastructure across the portfolio and add to the on-site amenity offer for occupiers.”
Osprey currently operates the UK’s third-largest open-use ultra-rapid network, with more than 1,300 chargers throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
The complete rollout will bring Osprey’s total new installations to 72 charging points across the six locations.
