Peugeot announced dual-motor versions of its E-3008 and E-5008 electric SUVs, boosting power output to 321bhp through all-wheel-drive systems.
The performance upgrades, revealed at the company’s E-Lion Day event, combine a 210bhp front motor with a 110bhp rear motor in both models.
While exact acceleration figures aren’t confirmed, the dual-motor E-3008 is expected to reach 62mph in under eight seconds. The larger E-5008 should achieve similar performance around the eight-second mark.
Battery configurations remain unspecified between the standard 73kWh and larger 94kWh options. Range figures will likely decrease from current single-motor versions due to the additional power demands.
The E-5008 now offers a five-seat configuration alongside its seven-seat variant. This version provides 994 litres of cargo space — 78 litres more than the seven-seater. Folding the second row expands capacity to 2,310 litres.
“The five-seat E-5008 can accommodate two large suitcases, one medium suitcase, and twelve small suitcases,” a Peugeot spokesperson said.
