Polestar is defending its Mille Miglia Green title this year with three long-range models featuring special ‘Collezione Mille’ liveries. The Swedish automaker entered its Polestar 2, Polestar 3, and Polestar 4 in the prestigious Italian event.
The Mille Miglia Green focuses exclusively on electric vehicles and has run since 2021. The five-day event started June 17 and continues through June 21.
Teams trace the same 1,000-mile route used by historic internal combustion competitors during morning sessions. Charging breaks are scheduled for afternoon legs.
Last year, a Polestar 2 Long Range Single Motor driven by Italian crew Mirco Magni and Alessandro Ferruta became the first Swedish car to win the Mille Miglia Green.
Special Livery Design
Each competing model sports the distinctive ‘Collezione Mille’ livery with a yellow front end. This design nods to Mille Miglia’s tradition of differentiating drivers during races.
According to Polestar, the color scheme extends the ‘Arctic Circle’ livery debuted at the FAT Ice Race earlier this year.
The white circle on the front door displays Mille Miglia Green event details. It’ll change to a race number once competition begins.
The numbers 2, 3, and 4 are finished in green, white, and red – the colors of Italy’s flag. Whitewall Michelin tires co-developed by Polestar’s chassis team reference the event’s 1950s and ’60s heyday.
Range Capabilities
The three models offer substantial range figures:
- Polestar 2: 409 miles WLTP-estimated range
- Polestar 3: 438 miles WLTP-estimated range
- Polestar 4: 385 miles WLTP-estimated range
“Polestar cars offer great performance, not only with fast acceleration, but also with outstanding range. We are winning many comparison tests already but to bring our lineup to the historical Mille Miglia Green race in Italy is an ultimate endurance test that brings classic car culture to the future.”
That’s from CEO Michael Lohscheller, referencing the brand’s recent testing success.
The Polestar 3 won the world’s largest independent winter range test in January 2025. The competition will test whether Polestar can repeat last year’s success with a broader lineup.
