Polestar has expanded its UK charging network by 89%, adding 2,754 new devices to its subscription service.
UK Polestar owners now have discounted access to 5,854 high-powered chargers nationwide through the Polestar Charge service. The expanded network includes ultra-rapid charging points from Ionity, Sainsbury’s, Instavolt, MFG, Fastned and Applegreen.
“Our convenient Polestar Charge now provides Polestar drivers in the UK greater coverage across the country and a more personalised offering,” said Matt Galvin, managing director of Polestar UK.
“With networks like Ionity, Sainsburys and Instavolt included in the 30% saving, we now offer 5,854 charging points in one app, meaning charging on the go is easier and more affordable than ever.”
The updated service also gives owners access to more than 900,000 individual chargers throughout Europe — a 54% increase from the previous network.
The number of charging sites offering the 30% discount has grown by approximately 50%. This discount now covers more than 62,000 charge points across 41 different operators.
Polestar Charge integrates with the car’s onboard Google Maps to help drivers locate and navigate to compatible chargers. In the Polestar 3 model, the service supports cardless plug and charge technology, allowing for a more streamlined charging experience.
