Porsche has upgraded the Taycan EV lineup with its 105kWh battery now standard across all models, boosting range to up to 421 miles.
The base Taycan and Taycan 4S receive the most significant improvements from this update. Both models now feature the 105kW ‘Performance Battery Plus’ instead of the previous 89kWh unit, increasing range by approximately 50 miles.
Both entry models now include £8,000 worth of additional features at no extra cost, including adaptive cruise control and lane change assist.
The base Taycan starts at £88,200 and comes equipped with 19-inch Taycan S Aero wheels.
Buyers can opt for leather-free interiors with two upholstery choices: the retro-inspired ‘Pepita’ houndstooth pattern (previously seen on 911s and 928s from the 1970s and ’80s) or the Alcantara-like ‘Race Tex’ material.
Higher-end Taycan models also receive substantial equipment upgrades. The £8,500 rear-axle steering and ‘Power Steering Plus’ package now comes standard on the Taycan GTS and Turbo models.
The Cross Turismo estate version starts at £89,200 and now includes the £3,600 Offroad Design Package as standard equipment. This package provides an additional 10mm of ground clearance plus integrated flaps in the front lower valance, sideskirts, and rear diffuser.
Currently, the Taycan and Macan Electric are Porsche’s only full EVs. The company plans to expand its electric lineup with an all-electric e-718 and Boxster by early 2026, along with an electric Cayenne to compete with the Volvo EX90.
While Porsche has stepped back from its earlier commitment to go fully electric, the manufacturer has introduced hybrid technology to its iconic 911 through the T-Hybrid model. The Panamera lineup also features electrification with its E-Hybrid variants.
