Rolls-Royce has delivered a one-off electric Spectre grand tourer through its Private Office New York that’s entirely inspired by the owners’ beloved pet dog.
The custom creation, called Spectre Bailey, celebrates the “joyful life” the clients share with their Labrador-Golden Retriever mix named Bailey. The project was completed by Rolls-Royce’s bespoke team at Goodwood and showcases tributes to the four-legged family member throughout the vehicle.
Exclusive Paint and Exterior Details
The Spectre features iridescent two-tone paintwork with both colors reserved exclusively for these owners.
The lower section uses “Beautiful Bailey” – a shade that matches the fur on Bailey’s ear. The upper portion is finished in “Crystal Fusion,” which changes tone depending on lighting conditions.
Bailey’s actual paw print runs along the shoulder line in Rose Gold, matching the special Spirit of Ecstasy on the grille. The same paw print appears in marquetry work on the passenger dashboard and is engraved into the Rose Gold treadplates.
Interior Craftsmanship
Inside, the Spectre Bailey uses materials that mirror Bailey’s fur coloring. The cabin features Moccasin and Crème Light leather with Dark Spice and Casden Tan accents, plus high-gloss Royal Walnut veneer.
The centerpiece is a marquetry portrait of Bailey’s face in the “waterfall” space between rear seats.
This realistic recreation took four months to complete using more than 180 pieces of veneer. Nine different veneers in 22 shades brought the image to life – with four different veneers used just for Bailey’s tongue.
“For Rolls-Royce, one of the great joys of a Bespoke commission is becoming immersed in the client’s world and the unique story behind their vision,” commented Phil Fabre de la Grange, head of Bespoke. “This is perfectly captured by Spectre Bailey, a charming commission that reaffirms that inspiration can come from anywhere.”
The project represents another example of Rolls-Royce’s Private Office capabilities, where long-standing clients can work directly with craftspeople to create completely personalized vehicles. The invitation-only bespoke service allows owners to incorporate deeply personal elements into their cars.
Fabre de la Grange noted the team was “absolutely delighted” to collaborate on bringing this concept to life in what he called “a playful yet timeless manner, reflecting the special place Bailey holds in their hearts.”
