Skoda has built its 100,000th all-electric Elroq in less than a year since full-scale production began at its Mlada Boleslav factory in the Czech Republic. The milestone vehicle was manufactured alongside the internal combustion-powered Octavia on the same production line.
The 100,000th Elroq was the rally-derived vRS model finished in Mamba Green. With a dual-motor, all-wheel drive system producing 335bhp, the Skoda Elroq vRS delivers performance credentials alongside the standard Elroq model that proved its capabilities on a roadtrip across Finland earlier this year.
The Elroq introduced Skoda’s new Modern Solid design language when it debuted.
This design approach includes the Tech Deck Face styling that’s now appeared on the larger Enyaq SUV. The Enyaq was Skoda’s first dedicated electric vehicle when it arrived in 2021.
Awards and Market Performance
The C-segment Elroq has collected awards across Europe including Car of the Year 2025, Best Electric Family SUV, German Car of the Year, and a Red Dot prize for its design.
Sales figures show the Elroq consistently ranking in top 10 EV tables across the continent. It’s the best-selling full EV in its native Czechia, plus neighboring Slovakia and Denmark.
In the Netherlands, Austria, and Switzerland, the Elroq remains a top three best-selling compact SUV.
Production Achievement
Andreas Dick, Skoda board member for production and logistics, commented on the production milestone:
Producing 100,000 Elroqs in under a year of series production is a major achievement for the whole team. It also reflects rigorous preparation and targeted adaptations to our production processes.
He highlighted the factory’s flexibility to build battery-electric and ICE vehicles on the same line.
The result is clear: the tremendous response from customers highlights the excellent manufacturing quality of cars ‘made in Mlada Boleslav’.
The production approach allows Skoda to adjust output based on demand for either electric or conventional vehicles without major facility changes.
Anniversary Celebrations and Future Plans
Beyond the Elroq’s success, Skoda is celebrating its 130th anniversary this year. The brand has re-imagined historic models from its catalog as EVs including the 110R, the Felicia Fun pickup, and the Favorit.
The updated Enyaq Race showcased EV technology in motorsport while introducing lightweight manufacturing techniques involving flax fibers.
Skoda will introduce its all-electric Epiq crossover in 2026. The Vision 7S concept provided a glimpse of what a fully-electrified Octavia could look like when it arrives by the end of this decade.
The company’s electric strategy continues building on the Elroq’s momentum as European customers increasingly adopt electric vehicles across multiple segments.
