Škoda will open order books for the Elroq vRS in June with pricing starting at £46,650, the Czech carmaker announced. First deliveries of the compact performance SUV will arrive during summer.

The Elroq vRS ranks among Škoda’s most powerful production cars ever. Its twin-motor setup delivers 335bhp – 52bhp more than the Elroq 85 model – and accelerates from 0-62mph in 5.4 seconds.

Both models share the same 84kWh battery, but the vRS offers a slightly shorter range of 340 miles due to its performance-focused design.

The performance model stands out with several exclusive features. It comes equipped with 21-inch aero wheels, lowered suspension, and black exterior detailing. Buyers can also opt for the vRS-exclusive “Hyper Green” paint.

As the flagship Elroq, the vRS includes a 12-speaker Canton sound system, augmented driver’s head-up display, and fast-charging USB-C ports throughout the cabin as standard.

Inside, drivers will find a three-spoke steering wheel, tri-zone climate control, carbon fiber-effect trim, and microfibre seats with contrasting “Hyper Green” stitching. A 13-inch touchscreen featuring vRS logos dominates the dashboard.

Despite its performance focus, the Elroq vRS remains practical. It offers full five-seat capacity, standard all-wheel-drive borrowed from the larger Enyaq vRS, and up to 1,580 liters of boot space with the rear seats folded.

The Elroq vRS commands a premium over the Elroq 85, which starts at £41,600.

The Elroq vRS continues Škoda’s electrification journey that dates back to the early 20th century. The vRS performance line first appeared on the Octavia and Fabia models during the 2000s after Volkswagen’s acquisition of the brand. The Enyaq became the first all-electric Škoda to wear the vRS badge in early 2023.

While an updated Enyaq vRS is expected to join the lineup alongside the Elroq vRS, Škoda has not yet announced any additional electric vRS models.
