Skoda will provide the Tour de France Femmes with 32 fully-electric and plug-in hybrid support vehicles. The automaker’s all-new Enyaq will serve as this year’s ‘Red Car’ driven by race director Marion Rousse.

The women-only Tour de France Femmes began July 26 and runs through August 3.

154 riders are competing across 22 teams. They’ll cover nine stages over 1,165 kilometres (715 miles) from Brittany in western France to the Alps in the East.

Fourth Year Partnership

Skoda returns as the Tour de France Femmes’ official vehicle partner for the fourth consecutive year. The partnership connects to the company’s cycling roots – Skoda started as a bicycle manufacturer in 1895.

The Czech carmaker was founded by Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement. They expanded into motorcycles with the Slavia in 1899, then launched their first car, the Voiturette A, in 1905.

“Cycling has been an integral part of our DNA for 130 years,” said Martin Jahn, Skoda board member for sales and marketing. “This year, we are supplying a fleet consisting exclusively of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.”

The women’s tour has gained significant traction. Last year’s event achieved more than 80 million viewing hours across seven European countries for the second year running.

The race also attracted 2.5 million fans on social media platforms.

“It’s inspiring to see how women’s cycling is getting more and more attention,” Jahn added.

Green Jersey and Trophy Sponsorship

Skoda will sponsor the 2025 Tour de France Femmes ‘Green Jersey’ again this year. The jersey goes to the leader of the points classification.

The company will also provide the winner’s trophy. This year’s trophy features green crystal to mark Skoda’s 130th anniversary.

Race fans can follow updates via weloveycling.com throughout the event.

Skoda will display its one-off Elroq Respectline at various tour legs. The race director’s red Enyaq will double as a mobile café for spectators.

The updated Skoda Enyaq debuted earlier this year with several improvements. Key changes include an all-new ‘Tech Deck’ interface and extended driving range compared to the previous generation model.
