Skoda has unveiled its new seven-seat Peaq SUV, with pricing starting at £51,980. Order books open this September.
The Peaq becomes the most expensive Skoda model to date. At almost 4.9 metres long and 1.7 metres tall, it’s also the largest vehicle in the brand’s lineup.
The SUV sits at the top of Skoda’s electric-only range. It’s positioned above the recently launched Epiq and the established Elroq and Enyaq models.
This marks Skoda’s first seven-seat SUV offering.
Design Features
Skoda has spent recent months teasing the Peaq’s design elements. The company describes them as representing its “Modern Solid” design language in its most advanced form.
The familiar Tech-Deck Face carries over from other Skoda EVs. T-shaped headlights and taillights connect through a black loop – a design element borrowed from Skoda’s Vision 7S and Vision O concept cars.
Flush door handles retract into the body when locked or at highway speeds to improve security and aerodynamics.
Inside, a 13.6-inch vertical touchscreen dominates the cabin. The system runs Google’s built-in software and operates primarily through haptic feedback. Physical controls for temperature, fan speed, and volume remain on the center console.
Two wireless charging pads sit below these buttons. They include MagSafe technology to keep phones secure during acceleration, braking, and cornering.
The Peaq maintains Skoda’s practical focus despite its premium positioning. Several “Simply Clever” features appear throughout the cabin – an infotainment screen cleaner, windscreen ticket holder, USB port in the rearview mirror, and wiper blades with integrated washers for better cleaning efficiency.
A 10-inch digital instrument cluster sits in front of the driver.
The optional Relax Package transforms the interior into what Skoda calls a “lounge-like” environment. It includes reclining massage seats with hidden footrests and pillow-soft headrests similar to those found in the Lexus ES.
The package also adds a Sonos sound system, foldable center console table, cup holders, and wellness apps. These apps control climate, ambient lighting, and other functions to create a calming atmosphere.
Skoda stretched the wheelbase to 2.9 metres. Boot capacity measures 299 litres with all seats up, 890 litres with the third row folded, and 2,075 litres with both rear rows down.
Every Peaq includes a 2.1 electrochromic roof with adjustable opacity as standard equipment. It functions as a virtual sunshade on bright days.
Powertrain and Pricing Options
Three trim levels are available:
- SE L – £51,980 (entry-level)
- Edition – £55,130 (mid-tier)
- Sportline – £58,280 (range-topping)
All models use an 86kWh battery and Volkswagen’s MEB platform. Edition and Sportline trims offer two powertrain choices called 90 and 90X.
The 90 powertrain features a 282bhp rear-mounted motor. The 90X adds a front motor for all-wheel drive and 294bhp total output.
SE L models come with rear-wheel drive only. All Peaq variants deliver a 390-mile range and support 199kW maximum charging speeds.
The battery charges from 10-80% in 28 minutes under optimal conditions.
Vehicle-to-Load capability comes standard, allowing owners to power external devices from the car’s battery.
