Peugeot has unveiled its new motorsport-inspired E-Expert van, drawing design elements from the company’s 9X8 hypercar that competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The Expert Sport features Peugeot Sport’s signature grey and kryptonite green racing livery. It boasts a more aggressive front bumper, flared side skirts, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a rear spoiler borrowed from the Vauxhall Vivaro.
Inside, the sporty theme continues with faux-leather seats featuring embossed Peugeot Sport logos and green stitching.
The Expert Sport comes better equipped than the standard E-Expert, with dual-zone climate control, heated steering wheel, keyless entry, and a 10-inch infotainment screen with integrated reversing camera. LED headlights and blindspot detection are also standard.
Buyers can choose between a three-seat panel van starting at £51,845 (excluding VAT) or a five-seat crew van from £54,545 (excluding VAT).
The all-electric powertrain delivers 134bhp and offers a 209-mile range from its 75kWh battery – slightly less than the standard E-Expert’s 217 miles due to larger wheels and additional bodywork. The battery supports 100kW charging, enabling 0-80% charging in approximately 45 minutes.
For those preferring conventional power, Peugeot offers a 178bhp 2.0-litre BlueHDi diesel version starting at £41,295 for the panel van and £43,995 for the crew van (both excluding VAT).
Peugeot joins other manufacturers exploring performance-oriented electric vans. Ford set a Pikes Peak ‘Open Class’ record in 2023 with its 1,400bhp tri-motor SuperVan 4.2, and plans to return this year with a NASCAR-inspired Mustang Mach-E driven by Roman Dumas.
