Volkswagen announced a £1,000 discount for UK customers purchasing any of its electric vehicles between February 4 and March 3, 2025.
The savings apply to VW’s entire electric lineup — the ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.7 and ID. Buzz — and can be combined with existing offers whether buying outright or through financing.
Customers using Volkswagen Financial Services’ personal contract plan (PCP) already receive substantial deposit contributions. Current discounts range from £1,700 off an ID.7 or ID.7 Tourer to £8,900 off an ID.5.
With the new promotion, ID.5 buyers using PCP financing could save nearly £10,000 total.
“We are really excited to offer this £1,000 saving to customers. We know lots of people are thinking hard about swapping their petrol and diesel cars for an electric alternative. We hope this offer helps to dispel any concerns they might have about affordability and persuades them that an award-winning electric Volkswagen is the best possible choice,” said David Hanna, VW’s head of network sales.
The automaker includes additional charging incentives with each EV purchase — either a free Ohme home charger or £500 in We Charge credit for public charging stations.
Through VW’s partnership with OVO Energy, buyers can access exclusive charging benefits:
- The ‘Charge Anytime’ plan — available as an add-on to any OVO tariff — offers home charging at 7p/kWh around the clock
- Credit for up to 10,000 free miles when ordering by March 31
- Additional charging credit worth 1,000 free miles in the third year of lease agreements
