Chinese automaker Xpeng enters the UK market with its G6 SUV, opening pre-orders and showcasing its eVTOL X aircraft prototype.
The G6 SUV targets Tesla Model Y competitors with a £39,990 starting price. Deliveries begin March 2024.

Both G6 variants include 20-inch alloy wheels, panoramic roof, heated seats front and rear, 15-inch touchscreen with wireless Android and Apple connectivity, 360-degree camera system, and heat pump.
At its London launch event, Xpeng displayed additional models including the G9 SUV and P7+ — which the company calls the first AI-defined vehicle.
The company’s AeroHT subsidiary demonstrated the eVTOL X, a compact electric aircraft previously shown with the experimental G9-based Land Aircraft Carrier transport vehicle.
Xpeng plans 20 UK dealerships in 2025 through International Motors Ltd (IML).
