Zeekr unveiled its all-new 7GT at the Brussels Motor Show, positioning the shooting brake as a direct competitor to the Tesla Model 3, MG IM5, BMW i4, and BYD Seal.

The Gothenburg-designed 7GT promises “Chinese technology with European design and soul” with pricing starting at €45,990 – approximately £40,000.

Performance and Charging Capabilities

The five-seater measures 4.8 metres long and just under 2.1m wide. It’s built on 800V architecture with ultra-rapid charging speeds reaching 480kW.

That charging speed means drivers can add 211 miles of range in just 10 minutes.

The 7GT delivers supercar-level acceleration with a 0-62mph time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 130mph. Five drive modes are available, including snow and sport settings.

Technology and Interior Features

Inside, the Zeekr 7GT comes packed with cutting-edge tech as standard equipment. The cabin features a 35.5-inch augmented reality head-up display working alongside a 13-inch driver instrument cluster.

A large infotainment screen dominates the dashboard center.

Zeekr’s Assisted Drive safety suite includes automatic emergency braking, intelligent adaptive cruise control, and fingertip parking functionality.

The Geely-owned brand has fitted the 7GT with double-wishbone, five-link suspension for precise handling. Large Privilege brakes feature advanced cooling and anti-fade properties.

Design Philosophy and European Focus

“Every element of the Zeekr 7GT is beautifully deliberate,” commented Gustaf Gunér, Zeekr’s head of brand design. “This is a car that exudes sporting style with an elegant silhouette and truly exquisite detailing, everywhere you look. A chameleon of experience, every detail of the car has been shaped by pure, unbridled passion for the driving experience.”

Zeekr claims the 7GT’s vehicle dynamics have been tuned specifically for European tastes as it targets the competitive D-segment market.

The practical side hasn’t been forgotten – the 7GT offers 456 litres of luggage space along with a ski storage hatch, roof rack options, camping customization, and advanced towing capabilities.

Market Expansion Plans

Founded in 2021 as Geely’s premium EV brand, Zeekr arrived in Europe in 2023. The company currently sells cars in Denmark, Germany, France and Norway.

The 7GT will mark Zeekr’s entry into the UK market, though the exact launch date remains unconfirmed.

Zeekr CEO Lothar Schupet outlined the company’s ambitious expansion timeline:

“We are thrilled to bring our latest vehicle to the European market. A true passion project, the 7GT represents our commitment as a high-end challenger brand to deliver high-level premium products to our customers, without losing focus on their fundamental drive – the thrill of the journey. This launch marks the start of a very exciting year of expansion for Zeekr in Europe with more products to come.”

An “aggressive pan-European roll out” is planned for 2026.

Zeekr hasn’t announced when order books for the 7GT will open or when deliveries will begin. The company’s current European lineup includes the 7X, 001, and X models.
