Zeekr X Takes Top Safety Honor in Euro NCAP’s 2024 Awards

The Zeekr X has earned Euro NCAP’s 2024 Best in Class award for both small SUVs and pure electric vehicles, outperforming 19 competitors including the Porsche Macan, Cupra Tavascan, and Volvo EX30.

Euro NCAP’s testing evaluated four key safety categories, with the Zeekr X achieving:

  • 91% for adult occupant protection
  • 90% for child occupant protection
  • 84% for pedestrian safety
  • 83% for safety assist features

The Chinese-made SUV rides on parent company Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) — the same EV platform used in the Smart #1, Smart #3, and Volvo EX30.

Other Chinese manufacturers showed strong safety performance in 2024 Euro NCAP testing, including the Xpeng G6 and Deepsal S07, though the latter isn’t sold in the UK.

The Stockholm-designed Zeekr X is currently available in three European markets — Sweden, Norway, and the Netherlands. The Long Range rear-wheel drive model offers 277 miles of range from its 69kWh battery, starting at €42,490 (£35,896).

The all-wheel drive Privilege trim, equipped with the same 69kWh battery, delivers 264 miles of range and starts at €47,490 (£40,120).

Zeekr hasn’t yet announced plans for UK market entry.
