Kia unveiled complete specifications for its Vision Meta Turismo GT concept during Milan Fashion Week, marking the concept’s first full European showcase.
The fully-electric concept debuted in December 2025 at Kia’s 80th anniversary celebration in South Korea. The company says the Vision Meta Turismo will “make EV driving more dynamic, engaging, and visceral” through GT styling combined with immersive digital experiences powered by augmented reality technology.
Industry analysts suggest the concept could preview an all-electric successor to Kia’s discontinued Stinger sedan.
Design Philosophy
The Meta Turismo GT uses Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design language. This approach contrasts soft body surfaces with sharp technical elements throughout the vehicle.
Kia’s design team drew inspiration from 1960s long-distance touring cars and modern jet fighters. The result is a low nose with cab-forward proportions that emphasizes the driver’s position.
The front end features a black technical insert housing the vehicle’s sensor array. Flowing curves dominate the rear section before transitioning to a truncated tail designed for aerodynamic efficiency at high speeds.
Ultra-slim LED lighting serves as what Kia calls a “focal point” while the glass canopy reveals an internal space frame structure.
Interior Technology
The Meta Turismo GT concept centers on enabling deep driver concentration through minimalist design elements.
Key interior features include:
- Ultra-slim driver’s instrument panel
- Lightweight mesh fabric seats
- Central joystick for vehicle function control
- 180-degree rotating passenger seat
The passenger seat can rotate to a lounge position for AR content consumption via the 3D heads-up display. This configuration also improves interaction with rear passengers.
Driving Experience
Kia’s concept blends physical and haptic controls to enhance driver engagement. The central joystick manages simulated gear shifts while launch control and virtual engine sounds aim to strengthen the connection between car and driver.
All settings can be customized based on individual preferences.
The Meta Turismo GT offers three distinct experience modes. ‘Speedster’ focuses on enhancing speed sensation through wide-angle AR displays, dynamic sequential lighting, and coordinated light and sound effects.
‘Dreamer’ mode targets urban driving scenarios. It delivers immersive experiences through the AR heads-up display and compatible AR glasses.
‘Gamer’ mode activates when the vehicle is stationary during charging or after completing a journey. The steering wheel becomes a controller for virtual racing while an external projector creates group gaming opportunities.
Production Timeline
Kia hasn’t announced production plans for the Meta Turismo GT concept. The company describes the vehicle as exploring “a new era of mobility” rather than confirming any manufacturing timeline.
The concept remains on display at Milan Fashion Week’s Salone dei Tessuti on Via S. Gregorio, 29/A, through Sunday, April 26. Visitors can view the Meta Turismo GT alongside other Kia EV concepts during the exhibition.
Further details about potential production or additional concept iterations haven’t been released.
