Skoda released two teaser images showing the interior of its upcoming Epiq crossover ahead of its full reveal later this month. The images offer the first detailed look at how the Czech brand’s minimalist ‘Modern Solid’ design language translates to a cabin space.

The Epiq marks the first Skoda designed entirely around this new design philosophy, which debuted with last year’s facelifted Enyaq.

Smallest Electric Skoda Takes Shape

The Epiq will become the smallest electric Skoda in the Czech carmaker’s EV line-up when it arrives. But like its bigger siblings – the mid-sized Elroq and larger Enyaq – it’s designed around what Skoda calls “ease of use for both driver and passenger.”

The interior follows what Skoda describes as “horizontal interior architecture” that replaces a traditional dashboard. This creates more space and an open feeling inside the cabin.

The layout stays simple and linear, reflecting Skoda’s focus on practicality.

Digital Displays and Physical Controls

A 5.3-inch digital driver’s display sits behind the steering wheel. The main 13-inch central touchscreen gets paired with piano-key-style buttons underneath, though Skoda hasn’t confirmed what those buttons control yet.

The Epiq shares Volkswagen Group components with the new VW ID Polo. Those physical buttons could handle the car’s heating and air conditioning system – a response to customer requests for real buttons instead of touchscreen-only controls.

The center console stands free from the dashboard and includes a wireless phone-charging pad. An open storage area sits between the front seats, while ambient lighting runs across the dashboard.

Skoda’s ‘Simply Clever’ features stay in place throughout the interior. The driver’s door still holds the signature umbrella, and the parking ticket holder remains on the passenger side of the windscreen.

The company says it’ll use sustainable materials throughout the cabin.

Production Version Takes Shape

A show car version of the Epiq appeared at the 2025 Munich motor show. Industry observers say it looks very close to what the production model will be.

Klaus Zellmer, Skoda’s CEO, said at the event that the Epiq captures what a modern Skoda should represent.

“It embodies the essence of Skoda. Modern solid design, a spacious interior within a compact footprint, user-friendly, intuitive digital interfaces, and Simply Clever details that ensure a seamless experience – and above all – at an attractive price point.”

When it goes on sale, the Skoda Epiq will deliver up to 267 miles on a single charge. The price tag will match its petrol-powered counterpart, the Kamiq, which starts at £25,000.
