Skoda has released preview sketches of its upcoming seven-seat Peaq SUV ahead of the vehicle’s full reveal on June 23, according to the Czech manufacturer.

The Peaq follows the recently launched Epiq crossover – the smallest car in Skoda’s EV range. It will be the second vehicle fully designed using Skoda’s minimalist ‘Modern Solid’ design language.

Design Elements and Tech-Deck Face

The sketches show the signature gloss black ‘Tech-Deck Face’ – a standard design element on all electric Skodas since the Elroq in 2025. This connects to the T-shaped headlights through a frame-like loop motif inspired by the Skoda Vision O concept from 2025.

Below this setup sits what Skoda describes as a ‘volcano’-shaped bumper. The company says this results from its “pronounced lower contour and clearly defined horizontal line.”

The side profile reveals the Peaq’s status as Skoda’s flagship EV and the biggest Skoda yet. Its high shoulder line and wide D-pillars create what the company calls a robust stance that reflects the brand’s dependable qualities.

Flush door handles integrate into the bodywork’s structured surfaces to improve aerodynamics and provide a clean look.

Lighting and Design Philosophy

The T-shaped lighting signature continues to the tail-lights at the rear, along with the loop motif.

Karl Neuhold, Skoda’s head of exterior design, described the Peaq’s look as “timeless.”

“In designing the exterior of the Skoda Peaq, we consistently applied the Modern Solid design language, combining clean lines, balanced proportions and distinctive elements. Precisely sculpted surfaces and clearly structured details create a confident, timeless presence, while signature features such as the T-shaped headlights and Tech-Deck Face express Skoda’s identity in a new electric era.”

Market Position and Competition

The Peaq will become the fourth electric-only model in Skoda’s lineup when it arrives later this month. It joins the Epiq, plus the award-winning Elroq and Enyaq.

Key rivals will include:

  • Peugeot E-5008
  • Mercedes GLB
  • Kia EV9

When it goes on sale shortly after launch, prices for the Skoda Peaq are expected to start at around £46,000. Higher-trim models could reach up to £65,000.

The seven-seat SUV represents Skoda’s push into the larger EV segment as the brand expands its electric vehicle offerings across different size categories.
