Vauxhall has launched its Griffin trim level for the Grandland Electric lineup, starting at £34,495. The value-focused variant becomes the entry point into the electric SUV range.
The Griffin Electric comes with 20-inch wheels and a black roof. Tinted rear windows complete the exterior package.
Interior comfort features include heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The 10-way adjustable driver’s seat carries certification from Germany’s Campaign for Healthier Backs – the AGR.
Standard Equipment Package
The Griffin builds on the Grandland’s standard equipment list. Drivers get twin 10-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity come standard. Vauxhall includes its Intelli-LED headlights across the range.
Safety equipment includes front and rear parking sensors plus a reversing camera. The driver assistance package adds adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist.
Platform and Performance
The Grandland Griffin uses Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform – shared with the Grandland Peugeot E-3008 and Citroen e-C5 Aircross. Production takes place at the Eisenach factory in Germany.
A front-mounted electric motor produces 210bhp. Range reaches up to 322 miles on a single charge.
The Griffin completes 0-62mph in nine seconds. Its 73kWh battery supports maximum charging speeds of 160kW – taking the pack from 10% to 80% in approximately 26 minutes.
Value Positioning
The Griffin undercuts the mid-level GS variant by £4,070. That GS model carries a £38,565 price tag.
All Griffin models include Vauxhall’s Electric All In package as standard. The bundle provides £500 credit toward home charging solutions.
Buyers can apply the credit to an Ohme Pro wallbox charger. Kerbo Charge cross-pavement cable installations also qualify – helping owners without driveways charge safely without cables across sidewalks.
The £500 works at public charging networks too. Compatible options include Octopus Electroverse, Connected Kerb, and Tesco car park chargers.
Vauxhall’s Electric All In bundle extends beyond charging credits. Eight years of roadside assistance comes included – with emergency charging coverage.
Owners switching to Octopus Go’s intelligent charging tariff receive 10,000 miles worth of free home electricity. The time-of-use tariff optimizes charging during off-peak hours.
